A large special needs (SEN) school situated in the borough of Surrey are actively searching for an SEN teacher with experience in Autism and MLD. This will start in January 2024 with the expectations to run until the end of the academic year.

This is a friendly and supportive SEN School that works closely with ASC, ASD and MLD which is rated Outstanding by OFSTED. This particular SEN School is located in Surrey. The school have fantastic facilities across all of their sites that is easily accessible for both students and staff. The school has parking at their main site in addition to off street parking so it easily accessible for those who drive and within walking distance from the local stations.

The SEN Teacher Role
The successful SEN Teacher applicant will be teaching a mixed KS1 class (8 pupils) with Moderate Learning Difficulties. Most of the children have communication and sensory needs as well as developmental delays. The class consists of 8 pupils who are all working at P levels, as a result experience of the EYFS curriculum would be advantageous, though not essential.
Progress with these pupils can be slow when compared to their contemporaries so patience, a caring nature, passion for the job and strong self-belief will be essential
