Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Huyton

Knowsley, Merseyside

As a Teaching Assistant in a SEN setting, you will play a vital role in creating an inclusive and supportive environment for children with additional needs. Working closely with teachers and other professionals, you will contribute to the holistic development of each child, helping them unlock their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with additional needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and tailored support strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere to promote student's academic and social growth.
  • Collaborate with teachers and specialists to address the unique needs of each child.
  • Monitor and record student's progress, providing feedback to the wider support team.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with additional needs is highly desirable.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent, are preferred.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to the well-being and development of each child.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to diverse learning styles and individual requirements.
