We are currently working with a thriving Special School in Kent, they are looking to take one several Teaching Assistant who are able to cover Part Time.
The Kent based school is a residential and day school for pupils aged 8-19 years with moderate to severe learning difficulties and other complex needs including autism and language difficulties. Their aim is to provide an outstanding and supportive learning environment which challenges students to achieve success.
The successful candidate will join a supportive school where we invest in our staff and create skilled class teams. This role could lead to the opportunity of further professional development to train as a Senior TA or HLTA. Key tasks are to support and develop the educational environment for the students, to include extending their curriculum skills, social skills, and personal development. To also provide a safe environment, emotionally and physically, for the students within the guidelines and procedures of the school. Experience in working with children, and Level 2 qualifications (GCSE or equivalent) in English and Mathematics are essential.

- Confident in dealing with children who may sometimes displaying challenging behaviours
