Are you an experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistant? Are you interested in working with students with SEMH to support them with their GCSE's?

Tradewind Recruitment have been asked to recruit a Special Needs Teaching Assistant for a Specialist School located just outside of Manchester City Centre. The school is small, and caters specifically to support students with mental health and/or social emotional mental health problems. It's a wonderful school, that really supports and encourages its students in a nurturing environment. The school is also centrally located, just off a main road, with great links to all bus routes.

The role of a Specialist Educational Needs Teaching Assistant is a special one and in order to succeed as a special needs teaching assistant, you will need a great deal of patience. You will also need to be good at working as a team, and to work alongside teachers, parents and carers.

Day to day, your job will involve assisting and helping students with social emotional health problems work towards their GCSE in the classroom. You will be expected to encourage the students to communicate with others, understand instructions and be confident in their learning.
