Are you a recent sports graduate or a sport coach? Have you got experience of working with young people in a sports capacity? If "yes", we would be really interested in talking to you as soon as possible! We are looking to recruit Sports Science students or graduates to join our Team of Supply Teaching Assistants in Bristol. We are working closely with many schools in Bristol who are seeking Teaching assistants who are/were Sports graduates or students with experience of working with young people.

This type of work will be a great opportunity for Sports graduates or Sports Coaches to use their academic and sports knowledge on motivation and experience of working with young people in an Education setting. You will have the opportunity to work on a 1:1 or group setting with young people with Special Educational needs and support their learning and emotional well-being as a learning support assistant.

This type of supply work will involve 1:1 intervention session as well as supporting pupils in class as a Teaching Assistant. However, the role of a teaching assistant will not always or at all involve using sports or sports activities. The ability to use the skills of a Sports Coach i.e train, teach, coach and mentor are highly desirable by our schools. To be suitable for the Teaching assistant roles as a sports coach, we are looking you to

- Hold a Sports Coach training or Degree in relation to Sports, Coaching, Sports Psychology.

- Be willing to perform duties that are not related to Sports only.

- Be available minimum once a week to work between 0830-1530 in a school settings. (However, we can be flexible when you have competitions, or matches)

Highly Desirable skills and attributes are:

- Understanding and experience of supporting/teaching young people with Mental Health issues, learning difficulties or additional needs

- Teaching/coaching Sports at after-school clubs

Be available part-time

Have ability to manage challenging behaviour

Must have Sports background


*Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
*Have a CV covering at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
*Have the legal right to work in the UK
