The role: Student Teacher / Newly Qualified Teacher
Location: Ashton-in-Makerfield and surrounding area

We are urgently looking for Primary Teachers / Student Teachers to working in Ashton-in-Makerfield and surrounding areas.

If you are a Student Teacher due to complete your final placement you can work for Tradewind as a Student Teacher / Teaching Assistant between now and the summer gaining valuable experience in a range of Primary Schools and get a head start for September!

As an NQT, you will no doubt be weighing up what type of teaching role you want and what / where your ideal setting will be. Would you prefer a small, rural primary school, or a large academy in a bustling city? Or a specialist SEN provision?

The beauty of registering with us is that you we can help you gain exposure to as many different settings and teaching roles as you like, helping to develop your experience and enhance your teaching skills - all whilst still being able to work towards your Induction whilst on supply / long-term positions.

So, can you complete your Induction whilst on supply?

Yes you can! You can complete your Induction over three terms in three different schools or should we be able to secure you a long-term position of a full academic year in one school, this will also enable you to complete your Induction. Only placements of one full term will count towards your Induction, and you need to complete the full time equivalent of one full academic year. For example, if you work part-time on supply then you will need to serve induction for two academic years.

CPD for NQTs

We have developed our CPD courses to help hone the necessary skills in the classroom you'll need as an NQT, such as:

Interview Techniques
How to plan a good lesson in accordance with OFSTED
Effective Questioning in the Classroom
Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and Safeguarding
Supply Teaching Bible; for everyone new to supply
Creating Behaviour for Learning
