Located in the popular East London borough of Newham this well-run and consistently improving 11 to 16 School is looking to appoint a Subject Leader of Geography for September 2020. The school takes in a varied range of children from different backgrounds who are all keen to learn, achieve and develop. Many come from EAL backgrounds and have had to work hard to bridge the gap between expected ability levels, but most are performing above national average. Humanities and geography are popular subjects with last year's GCSE cohort achieving some of the best results in the school. The appointment of a new Subject Leader Geography is designed to continue the excellent work the current post holder has implemented while building on it to ensure even greater future success.

Role requirements - Subject Leader Geography - Newham, East London
*Experienced Geography Teacher with a minimum of two years class teaching and ideally some sort of departmental experience or NQT mentoring.
*The ability to deliver inspirational lessons daily that help al students make sustained progression.
*Excellent subject knowledge through to GCSE.
*The ability to train and develop colleagues at all levels of their career.
