Tradewind are currently looking for a flexible practitioner, to be first port of call for cover for a school in Snaith!
Tradewind are working with an excellent school in the East Riding of Yorkshire, who are looking for an exceptional teacher, or cover supervisor to be the first port of call for cover, as we enter the busy period (after October half term). You will be working on a flexible, casual basis, so this suits a practitioner who is flexible with their work schedule. Payment for this position will be between £65.00 and £75.00 per day for cover supervisors, and between £110.00 and £140.00 per day for qualified teachers. We are looking for somebody to start as soon as possible, to be fully cleared on our system, and ready to start after half term.
This is a wonderful school, that often has supply needs to cover for courses, or other planned activities. Being in a remote location, close to Doncaster and Leeds, it is best accessible via car. A candidate that is close to the area, could be guaranteed work, and would certainly be the 'first port of call' for all supply needs. The school in question is slightly below average, and due to this has a nice 'family feel', with teachers knowing students names, and a close-knit feel to the school. The school are looking for a practitioner who can become part of the fabric of the school, and be looked at less as 'supply staff', and more part of the wider team.
As a cover staff member, you will be responsible for teaching a number of subjects, across multiple departments. All of the planning will be left for you, and it will be your responsibility to deliver this, and to effectively manage the behaviour of the students in the classroom. Student behaviour is generally good within the school, but a strong practitioner in regards to behaviour management would be viewed favourably. Due to performing across a number of different subject areas, a practitioner with a broad subject knowledge would be ideal for this role. You will not be asked to cover Design Technology or Physical Education, unless you have experience within these areas.
The role:
*Providing cover throughout a number of different departments
*Occasionally acting as a teaching assistant
*Administering class tests
*Providing feedback on work
*Working in line with a schools behaviour policy to ensure that classroom behaviour is good
Essential requirements:
A teaching qualification (for qualified teacher work)
Experience working in a secondary school (for cover supervisor work)
All work with Tradewind requires a DBS on the update service, and collection of at least two verified references.
An up to date CV with a 10 year career history
Legal Right to Work in the UK
