Are you a Teaching Assistant / Support Worker looking for a new opportunity in an Alternative School in Blackburn?

Are you a Team Teach Trained Teaching Assistant/ Support Worker looking for a full-time position starting 1st June 2020 until July 20th 2020 with the view to go permanent for the right person? This is a full-time position on a long term temporary contract, working 5 days per week 8:00am - 3:30pm, term time only.

Tradewind Preston are working in partnership with a 'Good' Alternative Provision School to recruit an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant/ Support Worker to support on a 1-2-1, group and in pastoral.

The most recent OFSTED graded the school as 'Good'. At the Alternative Provision School, they cater for KS2 - KS4 pupils ASD and with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. The school aims to ensure that they give them the necessary support to improve their confidence, self-esteem and enable them to become successful learners in school and prepared for their future working lives.

The ideal candidate for this role will have Team Teach Training and a minimum of 6 months experience working in an Alternative Provision environment or have worked extensively with learners with Behavioural and SEMH (social, emotional and mental health needs).

We are looking for:
* Excellent communication and behaviour management techniques
* Confidence in dealing with challenging behaviour
* Experience with supporting in Alternative Provision
* Be able to confidently work as part of the team and independently
* Team Teach Trained (desirable not essential as training can be provided)

After visiting the school, I was really impressed with the state of the art facilities. This school also encourages and healthy and active approach to everyday school life. The school has a welcoming team of staff and a strong and well-structured SLT.

The school has close motorway links with the M65 which is accessible by car with a large free car parking and easily accessible via public transport.
