Are you a Support Worker in Kirkby Lonsdale area looking for some extra shift starting as soon as possible long term?

Tradewind Preston is working in partnership with an 'Outstanding' Residential Children's home. The Children Residential homes are looking to recruit an experienced Support Worker to work on a 1-2-1 or 2-2-1 basis. You will be working with children from age 7 - 19 years supporting on a 1-2-1 or 2-2-1 basis with a children who has complex needs including autism, learning and communication difficulties and personal care maybe required.

The most recent OFSTED graded Residential Children's Home as 'Outstanding'. At the Residential Children home, they aim to ensure that they give them the necessary support to improve their confidence, self-esteem and enable them to become successful within the community.

The hours are 2pm - 10pm Monday - Friday and 9am - 10pm Saturday and Sunday the home is flexible on the days that you can work.

The ideal candidate for this role will have Team Teach Training and a minimum of 6 months experience working in a Residential Children home environment or have worked extensively with learners with children who have complex needs including autism, learning and communication difficulties and personal care maybe required.

We are looking for:
To join us and be successful in this role, you will need to:

Excellent communication and behaviour management techniques
Support Worker Level or Degree Qualified
Confidence in dealing with challenging behaviour
Experience with supporting Children with complex needs including autism, learning and communication difficulties and personal care maybe required.
Be able to confidently work as part of the team and independently
Team Teach Trained (not essential)

After visiting the home, I was really impressed with the home. This home also encourages and healthy and active approach to everyday life. The home has a welcoming team of staff and a strong and well-structured SLT.

The home is located of the M6 and A56 which is accessible by car with free car parking.
