Position: Long-Term Teaching Assistant/Support Worker in an Outstanding School for SEND Pupils

Location: Whitehaven

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Tradewind Recruitment is excited to offer a rewarding opportunity in an exceptional school in Whitehaven. We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as a Long-Term Teaching Assistant/Support Worker.

About the Role:

  • School Environment: Join an outstanding school dedicated to pupils with SEND, equipped with sensory rooms and a swimming pool to facilitate an enriching learning experience for children aged 4 to 16 years old.
  • Hours: Work from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, providing support and assistance during school hours.
  • Hourly Rate: Competitive pay ranging from £12 to £13 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Immediate Start: This position is available to start ASAP, providing you with the opportunity to make an impact without delay.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special needs or in an educational setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Passion for supporting and nurturing the educational development of children with SEND.
  • Relevant qualifications and certifications are a plus.
  • DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Proof of right to work in the UK.
