Are you an inspiring and energetic Teacher of English with fantastic motivational qualities? About the Department
The English department is a creative and innovative team of 13 teachers, an Academic Coach and a Literacy Mentor. There is communally supportive culture and staff who greatly enjoy working together. The curriculum is rich in high quality, challenging literature from across history and across the world. Lessons in English aim to encourage autonomy, analysis, creativity and academic rigour. Speaking and listening is at the centre of students' daily classroom experience and lessons always provide opportunities for discussion and debate. A strong emphasis is placed on creating fun, memorable learning experiences for students. The school have excellent GCSE results and their next step is to achieve outstanding.
To be successful in this role you will need to:
*Be a Teacher of English who holds QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification.
*Have excellent knowledge of the English curriculum.
*This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure, Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
*Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained.
*You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
