An academy situated in the heart of Greenwich is seeking a Maths teacher on a temporary basis to start in January 2021 until the end of the academic year.
With an ethnically and socially diverse intake, this school has a strong and distinctive ethos of 'Pride in Achievement' and has an excellent reputation within the local community. The outstanding sixth form achieves impressive results year after year.
This is a high-performing, oversubscribed school in South East London and their 2019 academic outcomes placed them within the top 7% of the country (when the tables were last published). They are now seeking to appoint a dedicated colleague to join the Maths department.
The school uses a sophisticated curriculum that is designed to individual students' needs. Student outcomes are very high in core and EBacc areas, with Progress 8 scores of +0.51 in English, +1.04 in maths and +0.88 in EBacc. Outcomes in Mathematics are in the top 50 schools in England. The Sixth form has grown considerably during the last two years and is the highest achieving in the Borough and in the top 8% for outcomes in the country.
Pastoral care is of an exceptional level, with very high standards of school discipline and student engagement. Parental engagement is high with 84% of parents visiting the school for parents' evenings and other events. 98% of parents recommend the school.
We are now looking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic teacher of Maths to lead the school into the next stage of its journey and raise achievement within the new government framework.

To apply for this role you will need to:
*Be a Teacher of Maths who holds QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification.
*Have excellent knowledge of the Maths curriculum.
*This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure, Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
*Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained.
*You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
