With an ethnically and socially diverse intake, this school has a strong and distinctive ethos of 'Pride in Achievement' and has an excellent reputation within the local community. The outstanding sixth form achieves impressive results year after year.

The Sixth form has grown considerably during the last two years and is the highest achieving in the Borough and in the top 8% for outcomes in the country.
Pastoral care is of an exceptional level, with very high standards of school discipline and student engagement. Parental engagement is high with 84% of parents visiting the school for parents' evenings and other events. 98% of parents recommend the school.
