Tradewind Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional Teacher of PE to join a fantastic PE Department at an 11-18 academy based near Greenwich. This is a full-time post, one-year contract beginning in January 2021.
This school has an outstanding history for sport, continually placing highly in national tables for performance across a broad range of sports. They are enthusiastic about sport and the abilities and characteristics that it builds in every pupil. They believe that each student, with inspiring teaching can learn to enjoy and fully participate in a wide range of sporting activities.

They are one of the highest performing schools in South East London with a positive Progress 8 score for the last 3 years of publication. Their percentage of Grade 5 or above in the Basics has improved year on year and this displays their desire to be Outstanding. They have a strong Sixth Form with results among the best in the region.

The successful Teacher of PE must be a dedicated team player, where physical education and well-being go hand-in-hand and sit firmly at the centre of your philosophy. You will be responsible for teaching from age of 11-18, encouraging them from grass route level to the national stage.

To apply for this role you will need to:
*Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification.
*Have excellent knowledge of the Physical Education curriculum.
*This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure, Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
*Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained.
*You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
