This school is a successful Comprehensive school based in Highgate. This is a school for Roman Catholic boys aged 11-19. They are a voluntary aided school, proud of its Catholic tradition and privileged to be the oldest surviving foundation of its kind in the Archdiocese of Westminster
Our client are looking to appoint a fully qualified Teacher of Science/Biology specialist to teach across the full age and ability range. NQT's are welcome to apply. You will be joining a progressive and dynamic department that achieves strong outcomes 'above average' in both GCSE and A Levels.
At KS5, they are offering all Sciences: Physics, Chemistry and Biology up to A2 levels with AQA. AQA GCSE Sciences are taught at KS4.

* Communicate effectively with all staff, students and parents
* Raise aspirations, expectations and achievement of all students regardless of ability
* Be a team player and go the extra mile to uphold school values
* Be able to teach Science to all age groups, fulfilling all responsibilities of a teacher of Science.
* Plan, resource and deliver lessons and sequences of lessons to the highest standard, thereby ensuring meaningful learning takes place and pupils make rapid and sustained progress
* Develop one's own teaching practice to a level of advanced proficiency
* Fully implement all routines and techniques for creating a culture of high expectations
* Contribute to the enrichment, extra-curricular and raising aspirations programmes
* Provide daily pastoral tutoring to a cohort of pupils
