Primary Teacher (Year 4) - Fixed Term Maternity Cover

Location: South Sheffield

Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term (May 2024 - May 2025)

Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teacher to join our team on a full-time basis to cover a maternity leave in our Year 4 class. This position presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated educator to make a meaningful impact on the academic and personal development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum, tailored to the needs of Year 4 students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to facilitate their academic growth.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and share best practices.
  • Maintain open communication with parents and guardians to promote parental involvement in students' education.
  • Uphold school policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment for all.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with primary-aged children, preferably within a Year 4 setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to teaching, with the ability to adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Dedication to ongoing professional development and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
