Roles and Responsibilities:

As a Teaching Assistant with Tradewind Recruitment, your daily responsibilities will include:

  1. Classroom Assistance: Collaborate with teachers to create a positive learning environment, providing support to students with diverse abilities and needs.

  2. Individualised Support: Work closely with individual students to offer targeted assistance, helping them overcome learning obstacles.

  3. Behavioural Guidance: Implement effective behaviour management strategies to foster a calm and respectful classroom atmosphere.

  4. Resource Preparation: Assist in preparing and organising teaching materials and resources.

  5. Assessment and Feedback: Support the assessment of student progress and provide valuable feedback.

  6. Inclusion and Diversity: Promote inclusivity, ensuring equal access to education for all students.

  7. Effective Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders.

  8. Safety and Well-being: Ensure the safety and well-being of students during school hours.


To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should have:

  • Have a genuine passion for education and a dedication to nurturing students' growth.
  • Possess experience working with children, which is essential for this role.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective collaboration within the educational team.
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong connections with young learners.
  • Show flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment.
  • Hold a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding.
  • Embrace diversity and inclusivity, promoting equal access to education for all students.
  • Possess a valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, EWC (Education Workforce Council) registration, or a willingness to obtain one.
  • Provide two professional references to attest to your qualifications and suitability for this role
