Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a Teaching Assistant or Support Worker with experience working with Autism.

Tradewind are currently recruiting for a new position in special needs school that caters for children with Autism in Wirral.

The role will be on a full-time basis and trial days are essential for candidates to showcase their skills in the classroom. You will be responsible for the learning and development of a small group of children who have Autism, assisting with developing their communication skills, social skills and sensory needs. We are looking for someone who has the ability to understand the frustrations a child with ASC can face, and knowledgeably work with them to help resolve any fears or anxieties they may be experiencing. You may be allocated to any year group across Key Stage 3, 4 or 5 and be required to part take in personal care and behaviour management/de-escalation when needed. The school boasts state of the art facilities and is deemed 'Good' with Outstanding features. The school is accessible by train or car and has a large onsite car park.

Essential requirement:
* Previous experience working with children or adults with Autism
* A good knowledge around the behavioural challenges and communication methods
* Previous experience using visual prompts
* Available to work Monday to Friday 8.30-4pm
