Tradewind recruitment is working with an outstanding primary school in Winchmore Hill that are recruiting for a teaching assistant to support KS1 pupils.

You will work in class supporting children with learning and will be involved in general classroom duties. The headteacher is keen appoint someone with good experience in KS1 and ability teaching phonics groups.

The headteacher would also like to hear from you if you are a graduate with some primary experience and have strong academic background and exemplary literacy skills.

The role requires a personable, approachable and confident teaching assistant who possesses excellent communication skills, a friendly manner and commitment to the school and the children they work with.

You will be working closely with the KS1 team and there will be opportunities for training further if this is something that appeals to you.

The head teacher is looking for a Teaching Assistant who has:

*Previous experience supporting KS1
*Has a good academic background, ideally you will be degree educated however if you demonstrate experience within a primary school.
*Has an engaging, confident approach - able to build positive relationships with pupils
*Is a team player - you will be someone who enjoys school life

This role requires someone who has:

*Knowledge and understanding of the KS1 primary curriculum
*Phonics experience is desired
*Good level of grammar, English
*Ideally 2.1 degree
*A friendly, positive personality
