Tradewind are recruiting on behalf of a Crosby mainstream secondary school who require a Learning Support Assistant to work within their Alternative Provision.

The successful applicant will be based in the schools Alternative Provision Unit supporting students with special educational needs. The role is to build solid relationships with the pupils, providing pastoral and academic support whilst establishing clear boundaries.

The role is full time, 8.15am - 3pm, Monday - Friday, term time only and is to commence asap until the end of the academic year, 16^th July 2021. The daily pay rate is £65.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with a variety of young people who may have experienced difficult or vulnerable home lives. If you have worked in a Youth Centre or been involved with outreach programmes this would be ideal. You will need to possess a calm and patient nature but also have a strong approach to behaviour management. The school will also consider a graduate or someone who has experience of youth and/or mental health support work.

• Have experience supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 (11-16)
• This position is subject to Enhanced DBS which is on the update service, Overseas police check (if applicable)

• Have the legal right to work in the UK
• Two professional references, these can include place of study
