Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a vibrant primary school in Garston. This part-time or full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the learning and development of children in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teachers to support classroom activities and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Assist with the implementation of lesson plans and educational activities tailored to the needs of individual students.
• Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional help with their learning.
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere that encourages student engagement and participation.
• Assist with classroom management and behaviour reinforcement strategies.
• Help to create and maintain learning resources and materials.
• Support students during structured play and break times.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders regarding student progress and welfare.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting is essential.
• A relevant qualification in education or childcare is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students and teachers.
• A commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• A genuine passion for education and making a difference in the lives of young learners.
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
