Tradewind would like applications for the post of Teaching Assistant at a fantastic school in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. This position will be working on a 1 to 1 basis with a student with SEN needs at a Primary School and will be a 1 year contract initially and the pay scale will be dependent on experience between £70-£90 per day.

This Primary School in Greenwich is a well established, oversubscribed and thriving three-form entry school. The ethos looks to encapsulate high standards and expectations, excellent learning and teaching, and the positive wellbeing of pupils and staff. The school has a strong and committed teaching team which is widely respected and supported by the wider school community. At the school they directly employ their own SEN department, comprising of a SENCo, Numbers Count and Reading Recovery teachers, specialist teaching assistants, and a highly-skilled Inclusion Officer. The varied and wide curriculum offer is supported by specialist teachers of music, French, PE and outdoor education.

This role is to support the needs of a child in Year 1 with a diagnosis of ADHD. The help and support of a highly skilled Teaching Assistant is required so that the student get the full access in a classroom environment to the curriculum. Very easily distracted, he needs to be kept on task and needs the reassurance and praise of someone on a 1 to 1 basis to ensure he continues the work set in line with the goals of the teacher and each lesson.

This role as a Teaching Assistant requires the successful candidate to have the relevant qualifications and experience with working in an SEN capacity. You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
