COVID-19 notice: We're continuing to recruit education staff throughout these unprecedented times, as we can still get you registered and cleared ready for when schools re-open. Instead of face-to-face meetings, all interviews will be via phone and we can guide you through submitting your documents online.

Tradewind would like to hire a Teaching Assistant for a position starting in September 2020 to support a Primary School in Greenwich to run interventions for small groups of students - could this be the right role for you?

We would want applications for the role of Teaching Assistant from candidates with previous experience of working in a Primary school or from someone with the desire to be a Teacher in the future. This position will be a 1 year contract starting in September 2020 and the pay scale will be dependent on experience between £70 - £85 per day.

For this post the school is looking for a candidate that will be as committed as they're to teamwork involving teachers, staff, parents, pupils and Governors. This teamwork is based upon mutual respect, support and understanding of all. They want the children to be curious, resilient, independent, lifelong learners, who are prepared for life beyond school, so that they are able to compete effectively in our fast moving, ever changing world. They're looking for each child to be confident and respectful; to question and challenge what they hear and see; to learn from their mistakes and use them as a way of moving forward. To experience what it feels like to achieve academic and social success and to be the best they can!

For Teaching Assistant role you would be working with small groups of students to help with interventions and support, catching up on work that has been missed with the time away from school due to the COVID-19 virus. This is an essential role to ensure all the students have the ability to catch up on any learning missed so the successful candidate will need to be able to mark the work and give feedback to the Teacher for further planning.

The successful candidate will provide two references on registration. You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
