Tradewind are recruiting for a hardworking primary teaching assistant for an excellent Primary Academy in Greenwich. The role is a full-time contract for 1 year. The pay rate will be based on experience between £70-85 per day.

Each child is supported and encouraged to do their best and take part in a wide range of opportunities and experiences building happy memories of their school days. This inclusive, diverse, large Academy caters for over 1000 pupils across 3 sites in Greenwich across ages 3-11. Their aim is to put children first and enable everyone to provide them with an Outstanding Education.

This role as a Teaching Assistant will be to work with students both in small groups as well as 1:1, providing a tutor and mentoring service to the students that the Academy identify as needing extra support. The past months where the Academy has been closed to students has meant many students will be coming back to them with many different needs, they need to identify these needs quickly before the successful candidate for this role will provide support and guidance in key areas to ensure that any learning gaps can be quickly closed.

This Academy is well funded, well-equipped and has the space across its sites to have most if not all children back in school quickly.

This post would be perfect for a recent graduate as well as those Teaching Assistants or Learning Mentors that have a good knowledge of curriculum. You will need the Legal right to work in the UK, a DBS (which Tradewind can apply for on your behalf when you register) as well as two references preferably from an Education background.
