Are you passionate about supporting the educational development of young learners? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at a welcoming primary school in Hunts Cross. This role offers flexibility, with both part-time and full-time options available, allowing you to make a positive impact on students' lives while accommodating your schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with teachers to assist in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Provide individualised support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring their educational progress and well-being.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
  • Assist in the preparation of teaching materials, resources, and classroom activities.
  • Support students during structured learning activities, break times, and outdoor play.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and support positive behaviour reinforcement.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders regarding student progress and welfare.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting is desirable but not essential for candidates with relevant qualifications.
  • A qualification in education, childcare, or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of students and support their individual learning journeys.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Enthusiasm and a proactive approach to supporting student learning and development.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
