SANZA Teaching Agency & Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a Teaching Assistant with BSL to start immediately.

An opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant of the deaf to join a specialist provision attached to a primary school in Tower Hamlets.

The successful applicant will report to the Deaf Support Base manager and ideally will be qualified and competent with British Sign Language.

At this primary school; Deaf Support Base pupils with a range of hearing losses develop effective communication skills and achieve good academic outcomes. They also have a total communication policy and aim to include pupils in all aspects of the curriculum and the life of the school.

The successful applicant will:
* have a sound understanding of the impact of hearing impairment on learning
* Demonstrate competence with British Sign Language
* have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and
* promote effective, inclusive education for deaf pupils
