*Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant with Pupil Referral Unit or Alternative Education Experience for a school in Kingswood. The position is full-time and involve working with Secondary aged students with severe emotional and behavioural difficulties. The ideal candidate should be able to manage challenging behaviour and emotional outbursts on a regular basis.

The school tends to provide small, specialist learning environment which meets pupils' not only education but also emotional needs. There is an experienced Learning support team and they offer extra curricular activities that take place outside the school. Sports, Military or Prison Warden experience is highly desirable. The ability to remain calm, have sense of humour and have deep understanding of emotional needs of disengaged young people.

The school is within good public transport links and ample on site and on street parking available. The school is within easy reach of Fishponds, Warmley, Pucklechurch.

To join us and be successful in this exciting Teaching assistant position, you will need to:
*Have significant amounts of EBD experience in a school or prison setting and ideally be able to engage with very challenging young people
*Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
*Have a CV covering at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
*Have the legal right to work in the UK
