We are recruiting on behalf of this SEN school, which caters for students from 5 to 16 years old. They cater for young people with additional needs principally in the areas associated with emotional & behavioural difficulties. Many have autism and SEMH. All young people attending this school have an official statements of SEN (Special Educational Needs) or EHCPs (Education and Health Care Plan). The school is rated as a 'Good' educational provider and delivering promising outcomes for students in the local area.
They provide specialist learning environment which meet pupils' educational but also social and emotional needs. The ideal candidate will support young people with lower-functioning Autism and BESD within lessons. You must be a Special needs TA with previous experience of supporting young people in Secondary or Primary ages, ideally with experience of managing challenging behaviour.
The school is based in Cheltenham, with good public transport links and on site and on street parking available. They are within easy reach from Cheltenham spa train station.

*Have SEN experience in a school catering for children with behavioural issues.
*Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
*Have a CV covering at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
*Have the legal right to work in the UK
