Tradewind are working with a Junior school in the Chesterfield area seeking a Teaching Assistant to work on a full time basis supporting Year 5 students, going into Year 6, predominantly in English and Maths.

You'll be working with children who have fallen significantly behind during the Covid crisis and may require intensive tutoring to get their literacy and numeracy skills back to the expected levels. The successful person should have great levels of literacy and numeracy and be familiar with the new Key Stage 2 curriculum. A Teaching Assistant qualification would be beneficial but not essential for this role if the candidate has had prior experience in a similar role.

There will be an expectation to work closely with the class teachers and there may be some responsibility for marking and assessment of pupils progress under the guidance of the class teachers.

This role would be suitable for an NQT or a fully qualified teacher with the correct Key Stage experience. Applications from graduates with similar experience will also be considered.

£65.00 - £72.00 per day
