Keen to working with students in a holistic way? We are looking for a Teaching Assistant capable of providing academic as well as social and emotional support to pupils in a Secondary setting.

OFSTED rated Outstanding, this Secondary School in Ealing is looking for an Inclusion Teaching Assistant to work within their Inclusion provision and across mainstream classes. We have supported staff from all over London to work here, they continue to travel to Ealing as they feel the school, the environment and the support they receive here are worth it. Working within the newly built space, this is a full-time role to start immediately.

The role would be working with a wide range of pupils who are identified as needing extra support. The school are looking for someone with SEMH and EAL experience who can create a nurturing learning environment and liaise with the off-site Multi-Disciplinary team to support students back into the mainstream setting as smoothly and quickly as possible. The role requires someone who is adaptable and good at building rapport and positive relationships quickly. As an Inclusion TA, you would work 1:1 and in small groups to support their learning needs. There are 5-6 graduate LSA's also supporting pupils in the provision.

A passion for supporting pupils to overcome obstacles and engage in school life is essential to work in this very inclusive setting. This school places a heavy emphasis on including students in all activities from Outdoor Education to School Drama shows and out of school trips. Being creative and taking a proactive approach to adapt lessons for inclusion students will ensure you make a positive impact. The right person for the job will be highly motivated to learn and grow, as this school invests regularly in upskilling and training staff.

The schools hiring process involves a full trial day. The aspect of your performance they will want to see most is how you engage with students and manage behaviour. The school are looking for staff who are caring, have a strong classroom presence and interact well with pupils in the class.

The Teaching Assistant would:
*Use initiative and be proactive within the classroom
*Be engaging, have strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills
*Work 1:1 and with small groups in the inclusion provision on the main school site
*Differentiate resources to support students to achieve lesson objectives
*Support and track the progress of students identified as SEN and/or with an EHCP
*Benefit from opportunities for Specialist Training in SEN, specifically ASD, through the school and external training providers
*Work alongside experienced and specialist MDT staff in a high performing team
*Collaborate with LSA's and Inclusion Teachers to ensure students are well supported

*Staff specialising in Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD), Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH), Attachment Disorder, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), Autism (ASD), behaviour and conflict.
*Programmes promoting SEN student engagement such as Peer Mentoring, Lego Club, Academic Mentoring, and Nurture Groups
*An inclusive policy which enables SEN students to fully participate in all aspects of school life, including Outdoor Education, Sports, School Drama shows, Music, clubs and activities and out of school trips.
