Working with a reception class, this an opportunity to support pupils at the earliest foundations of their learning and create a solid foundation for their future. Successful intervention in this year group has the potential to enable pupils with the fundamental skills of communication, managing emotions and learning independence that will support them to succeed as they continue education and beyond into adult life.

This Special School in Ealing supports Primary students from the age of 2-11 years of age. With an OFSTED Outstanding rating, the school has beautiful new facilities with a new building extension for students with Autism. The school is very well resourced and equipped to support their students who all have EHCPs due to severe or Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and/or Autism. All classes are organised based on age as well as need and learning style.

The role is to start after the October half term and the school are looking to trial candidates ASAP. The hours of work are 8.45am - 3.45pm, Monday to Friday.

You will need to be a responsible and proactive team player to succeed in this high performing and nurturing school. Staff here go the extra mile to support pupils and their families. The school embodies a multidisciplinary approach and all staff work in collaboration with psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and even music therapists to ensure the best support is given to all students.

This school offers expceptional support and development opportunities to all staff. With twilight training sessions being run regularly and over time being paid for these. The school has a positive culture of wellbeing for staff and students with success being celebrated and achievements within the school community being recognised school wide.

The ideal candidate:
*Has experience as a Teaching Assistant
*Is experienced with Autism and Severe Learning Difficulties
*Has been employed in a similar role, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach
*Has worked in Early Years and/or SEN school settings
*Is a proactive team player

*Hold an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
