Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant that will work 1:1 within the EYFS department in a caring one form entry Primary School in Greenwich. This role will be an ASAP start and will run through till July 2021 initially with the view of a further contract if funding is maintained. This position is full time long term role and the rate of pay will depend on experience paid between £70-85 per day.

This Primary School is a wonderful environment where staff create the perfect base for learning to take place. Parent feedback is excellent and students love attending this safe and harmonious school where everything that is done is for the care and attention of each individual student.

The role will be to work on a 1:1 basis with a student in Reception. The student has been with the school since the age of 3 and now aged 4 his behaviour is starting to disrupt the class overall. The class already has one general TA but more and more her time is taken up by this particular child and so the Teacher and EYFS leader feel that a 1:1 support for this child to bring their behaviour back in line will really benefit the class overall. Previously the child has kicked out and spat when not getting his way.

Tradewind are seeking:
- a Teaching Assistant that has worked in a school previously and has relevant experience with children with EBD.
- a candidate that has had restraint or Team Teach training would be of benefit but not essential
- a Teaching Assistant that puts in maximum effort at all times.
- an individual that firm but fair with a caring approach.

This school is located in Greenwich. Parking is available on site but traffic in Greenwich can be difficult in the morning so the school encourage other forms of transport. There is local buses and a local train station is within a 5 minute walk.

- References that cover at least 6 months of experience within the last two years in an educational setting

- You must have the legal right to work in the UK
