Teaching Assistants at this school play an integral role in the progress and success of their key child, working alongside the class teacher to ensure their learning goals are achieved each term. This can be a hugely rewarding role as you develop your skills and learn to work more independently, taking responsibility for running and then creating 1:1 interventions for the child you work with.

The Teaching Assistant would:
*Work 1:1 within a specialist provision for children with Autism
*Build a strong rapport with pupils and support academic as well as emotional support needs
*Be confident working independently and demonstrate initiative and team work
*Establish routines and communication strategies which enable pupils to feel secure, informed and safe in their learning environment
*Support students to overcome barriers to learning and apply their skills in different contexts
*Encourage creativity and curiosity in learning
*Work alongside a classroom teacher and a team of teaching assistants at the school
