The position is to start ASAP and will continue into the new academic year.

They are a primary school for children with multiple learning difficulties. Some of whom had an additional diagnosis of Autism - and this is where the school are asking for us to provide the additional help.

The potential candidate will need;
*a good experience of working with Autism
*a very good, positive and assertive behaviour management and be proactive at all times
*to promote constant interaction as this is key to their children's wellbeing and learning
*to be prepared to learn from the experienced staff already in place and develop quickly into a confident member of the team

The role will involve;
*Carrying out tasks and responsibilities under the direction of the SENCo and Class Teacher
*Planning and prioritising tasks and working under the pressure of a busy inclusive primary school
*Communicating effectively and appropriately to pupils/staff/parent/carers with different abilities and ethnic backgrounds.
*Motivating pupils with Autism to learn and be sociable with their peers
*Assisting with the organisation of the learning environment and maintaining accurate records of the pupils
*Having patience working with pupils with Autism who find conforming to rules and expectations difficult
*Respecting and maintain confidentiality but have regard to the safe guarding protocols of information sharing where necessary
*Being computer literate
*Attending training courses for Autism considered appropriate for the post

The curriculum is topic focused and pupil's engage in learning through exiting new themes each half term. Pupils have the opportunity to access a range of facilities to enhance learning opportunities both in school and within the local community including hydro pool, soft play, horse riding and even sailing.

*Have worked with Autism previously
*This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
*Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
*You must have the legal right to work in the UK
