The PRU specialises in working with KS4 aged pupils with SEMH pupils who have been permanently excluded from mainstream settings. This role is a 1:1 support role working with a Y11 pupil who also has ASC. The pupil is working at a much lower level than other students and requires 1:1 support to assist with their learning. Within the role you would also be required to offer support to other members of the class who all have SEMH. The school has small class sizes of between 4 and 8 pupils and are looking for an SEMH specialist to work with KS4 pupils with an aim of getting them back into a mainstream setting when they continue secondary education.
-Must have previous PRU experience
-Must have experience with ASC and SEMH
-Team Teach or positive restraint training is preferred but not essential
-You will work closely with experienced SEMH teachers providing 1:1 and small group support in a challenging behaviour environment.
The school is easily accessible by bus and tube however there is no parking on site.
