Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for an exciting opportunity in an outstanding educational environment? If so, we have the perfect role for you! Tradewind are currently seeking a Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join the exceptional team at a highly regarded Primary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) located just 1 mile away from Leyland train station. The rate of pay for this position ranges from £76 to £90 per day, depending on qualifications and experience.

The Primary PRU has been rated as outstanding by OFSTED and is renowned for its commitment to providing a supportive and nurturing learning environment for its students. The school has a strong emphasis on personalised learning, ensuring that each child's unique needs are met to help them reach their full potential.

As a Year 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic, emotional, and social development of the students. You will work closely with the classroom teacher to deliver tailored learning plans, assist with classroom management, and provide one-on-one support to students as needed. Your responsibilities will also include helping to create engaging learning resources, monitoring student progress, and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Relevant experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within a primary school setting
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and strategies to support students' learning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, staff, and parents/carers
  • A patient and empathetic approach to working with children with diverse needs
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and support students in overcoming challenges
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
