Position: Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Teaching Assistant at an Independent Specialist Day School in Leyland. This school provides personalised academic and therapeutic support to young people aged 9-16, focusing on those with social, emotional, and mental health needs, including individuals navigating challenges associated with Autism Spectrum Conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide academic and therapeutic support to students.
- Assist in managing communication and behavioural challenges.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young people facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
- Understanding of Autism Spectrum Conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt and support in a dynamic educational setting.
Location:
The school is located in Leyland, offering a supportive and nurturing environment for both students and staff.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Remuneration:
Competitive daily rate of pay ranging from £78 to £90.
Start Date:
The position is set to commence in February 2024.
Temp to Perm:
