This Junior School is situated in the heart of East Ham in Newham and can be accessed by the East Ham Tube and Railway Stations. Both of these stations can be accessed within a short five-minute walk from the school gates, and the bus stops at the end of the school's road services eight different bus routes.

In 2017, this Junior School was found to be Good in all categories by Ofsted, and the leaders ensure that the standards of education remain high in all lessons across the school. Senior staff members have created a strong climate for learning for the children and all staff employed by the school work well as a team to utilise their specialist skills, knowledge and experience. Pupils at the school are friendly and they behave well in lessons.

The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who is adaptable and able to commit to a long-term post at the school which for the right candidate, will last to the end of the academic year. Experience working in more than one key stage is crucial and some knowledge of SEN is important but experience working on a 1:1 basis is not essential. The successful applicant for this general teaching assistant position will be able to communicate well and assist students with their learning in the classrooms. Someone who is able to think on their feet and adjust to new environments quickly is highly desirable and all applicant must hold a BA in Childhood Studies or a Level 3 Cache.

This long-term teaching assistant role includes working closely with the other members of staff as well children with a range of abilities. Confidence working with students who do have additional needs is important but most students with severe SEN would have a 1:1 TA. Hours for this role would be 8.30am-4.00pm and the successful candidate must be able to commit to this five days a week.
