Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting for a Year 6 Teaching Assistant on behalf of an exciting school, filled with inspirational teachers, support staff and motivated children; who are all working together in order to enable the pupils to achieve their best.

Pupils in this school feel happy and secure, they are well motivated to achieve their best and are respectful and caring towards others. The staff are confident, enthusiastic and are given the support that they need from senior leaders to fulfil their potential.

The school is based in Oldham and is accessible via car or bus.

About the role

The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work within Key Stage 2, supporting groups of lower ability students within class across both Year 6 classes, particularly with Math and Literacy. The successful Teaching Assistant will also be required to lead interventions and booster sessions with groups of children of all abilities in the lead up to SATS.

The school are looking for somebody with a strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum and good behaviour management skills. Prior experience of using 'Success in Maths' is preferable but not essential.

To join us and be successful in this Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:
*Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification
*Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
*Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained
*Have the legal right to work in the UK
