Level 2 Teaching Assistant Location: North Sheffield Primary School

Key Responsibilities:

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the educational journey of the students. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Supporting Learning: Work alongside teachers to assist in delivering lessons and engaging students in their learning journey.

  2. Small Group Work: Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who may require additional help or enrichment.

  3. Classroom Management: Help maintain a positive and safe learning environment, ensuring students are focused and well-behaved.

  4. Assessment: Assist in the assessment and recording of student progress, helping to identify areas where additional support is needed.

  5. Inclusive Education: Promote inclusive practices, ensuring all students have equal opportunities to succeed.

  6. Communication: Maintain effective communication with teachers, parents, and other staff members to keep everyone informed and involved in the educational process.

  7. Pastoral Care: Offer emotional and pastoral support to students, helping to create a nurturing atmosphere within the school.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with primary school-aged children.
  • A commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with both students and colleagues.
  • A passion for helping children reach their full potential.
