Tradewind are seeking a Teaching Assistant to work in a secondary school in Wakefield as soon as possible. The school require an engaging Teaching Assistant to work on a one to one and small group basis with students within KS3. The salary will range from £13,450 to £14,800 pro rata.

The school is based in a residential area of Wakefield. They are a busy but friendly school which prides itself on its inclusive ethos. They work together to provide a welcoming community for everyone, aiming to develop happy and motivated students. They work closely with parents, carers and members of the community to provide a learning environment that is accessible to all. The supportive SLT offer excellent CPD opportunities and have an innovative approach to education.

The successful secondary Teaching Assistant will be required to provide additional support for KS3 students on a 1:1 and small group basis. Part of the role will involve working with students with a variety of SEN, including learning difficulties and Autism. Prior experience working with students with SEN would be desirable for this position. They are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible individual who is happy to work on a full time basis.

Essential requirements:

Teaching Assistant experience, SEN experience, legal right to work in the UK, enhanced DBS check.
