Tradewind's SEND Team are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant with a relevant background in care or a person centred role. This is also a great opportunity for a support worker who is looking to transition into the education sector.

We are recruiting for an Outstanding SEN school located in Sefton, catering for 140 pupils aged between 3-19. The school is equipped to educate children who have complex learning difficulties including, ASD and sensory needs.

The role would ask you to support pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties to achieve their developmental goals, whilst carrying out general teaching assistant duties either on a 1:1 or small group basis. Due to nature of physical difficulties there is an aspect of personal care that includes changing, feeding and toileting therefore care/support workers with vulnerable adults and children would be desired for this role.

We are looking for:
*Previous experience with personal care
*Hoist Trained
*Previous training in Moving & Handling
*Previous experience with peg feeding is desirable
*Previous experience with children is desirable
