Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who has worked with pupils with Autism previously?

We are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist SEN school on a full time basis form January (subject to a trial day). You will be allocated to a class of 11 pupils, all boys with Autism. There will be support from a class Teacher and other allocated Teaching Assistants with in the class and you will be required to take part in sensory learning.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Teaching Assistant who has worked with a variety of SEN children who display very challenging behaviours associated with severe Autism. You will need to possess a calm and patient nature but also have a strong approach to behaviour management. Team Teach Training is desirable but not essential. The school will also consider a graduate or experienced youth/mental health support worker with SEN experience.
