Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to support a mixed mainstream Secondary School based in South Liverpool. The position is due to start in September 2020 and will continue on a full time, long term basis with the view of a permanent offer.

The Role
Your duties as a Teaching Assistant will include supporting interventions of core subjects for pupils needing 'catch up' and helping to raise attainment of higher achieving pupils who are keen to attain a higher grade/level in English or Maths. Under the direction of the teacher; you will be required work with pupils on a one to one basis - reporting back to the class teacher on progress of individual pupils. You may be allocated to different year groups across KS3 and KS4, therefore a good knowledge of English and Maths at KS3 and 4 including GCSE level is desirable.

* Hold a recognised TA qualification or equivalent - Graduates of English and Maths also welcome to apply;
* Have some experience working within a school or childcare setting;
* Be passionate about seeing children improve and succeed;
* This position is subject to Enhanced DBS, Overseas police check (if applicable) and satisfactory references;
* Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
* Have the legal right to work in the UK.
