Tradewind Manchester are supporting a primary school in Bury, who are looking to appoint a 1:1 TA to support a pupil in KS2 with speech and language difficulties. It is essential that the successful candidate must be aware speech & language techniques, particularly the ELKLAN speech and language scheme. This position is a full time, long term role, with the potential of a permanent contract. The role is to start following the lockdown, so please get in touch if this role seems right for you!

The Role:
The school are looking to employ a qualified teaching assistant to support a pupil in KS2 with Speech & Language challenges. You will be supporting the child full-time, 5 days a week, and you must be able to lead intervention lessons using speech & language techniques, preferably from the ELKLAN speech and language scheme.

You will be an integral part of the KS2 team and liaise with the class teacher to ensure the pupil is getting the most suitable support and is able to access learning.

To join us and be successful in this Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:

* Experience of working with pupils with Speech & Language needs
* Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
* Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included; employment breaks must be explained
* Have the legal right to work in the UK
