Primary Teaching Assistant - Supporting a Child with Special Educational Needs (Year 3)

Location: Stockport
Start Date: January 2024
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Pay Rate: £80 to £90 per day (subject to experience)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to a child with special educational needs in Year 3. Collaborating closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will play a pivotal role in implementing effective strategies to support the academic and behavioural development of this challenging but rewarding individual.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personalised Support: Work closely with a challenging child in Year 3, delivering tailored support to meet their unique needs.
  • Collaborative Approach: Partner with the class teacher and SENCO to deploy effective strategies for academic and behavioural progress.
  • Positive Learning Environment: Create an inclusive and encouraging atmosphere that fosters engagement and participation among students.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualification: Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Experience: Demonstrable experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in supporting students with challenging needs.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Rapport Building: Ability to establish rapport with students, faculty, and parents.
