Are you a Team Teach Trained Teaching Assistant in Accrington looking for a full-time position starting as soon as possible until July 2019 with the potential to go permanent?
Tradewind Preston are working in partnership with a 'Good' Primary SEMH School in Accrington to recruit an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support within class. You will be working in KS1 supporting on a 1-2-1 basis with a child who has behaviour difficulties.
The most recent OFSTED graded the school as 'Good'. At the SEMH Primary School they aim to ensure that they give them the necessary support to improve their confidence, self-esteem and enable them to become successful learners in school and prepared for their future working lives.
The ideal candidate for this role will have Team Teach Training and a minimum of 6 months experience working in an Alternative Provision environment or have worked extensively with learners with SEMH (social, emotional and mental health needs).
We are looking for:
* Excellent communication and behaviour management techniques
* Confidence in dealing with challenging behaviour
* Experience with supporting SEMH
* Be able to confidently work as part of the team and independently
* Team Teach Trained
After visiting the school, I was really impressed with behaviour and the state of the art facilities. This school also encourages and healthy and active approach to every day school life. The school has a welcoming team of staff and a strong and well-structured SLT. The school is located just of the M65 which is accessible by car and via public transport.
