Team Teach trained Teaching Assistants required to work in Blackburn.

Are you a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant who is Team Teach trained looking for a new long-term contract starting September 2019?

Tradewind Preston are working in partnership with a 'Good' Secondary SEMH School in Blackburn to recruit an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support 1-2-1 within class. You will be working with a KS4 pupil supporting on a 1-2-1 basis with a child who has Social Emotional Mental Health.

The most recent OFSTED graded the school as 'Good'. At the SEMH Secondary School they aim to ensure that they give them the necessary support to improve their confidence, self-esteem and enable them to become successful learners in school and prepared for their future working lives. The School caters for KS2 - KS4 pupils.

As Teaching Assistant, you shall have previous experience in a similar role and have a confident and positive approach, demonstrating care, patience and understanding towards young children with a genuine passion to ensure each student strives to reach their full potential.

The ideal candidate for this role will have Team Teach Training and a minimum of 6 months experience working in an Alternative Provision environment or have worked extensively with learners with SEMH (social, emotional and mental health needs).

We are looking for:
*Excellent communication and behaviour management techniques
*Confidence in dealing with challenging behaviour
*Experience with supporting SEMH
*Be able to confidently work as part of the team and independently
*Team Teach Trained
