This alternative provision is looking for Behaviour Support Assistant to work on a 121 basis with a year 9 pupil who is new to the school. This child presents with challenging behaviour which means Team Teach training is essential. The school are aiming to allocate this child one person he can build a relationship with, therefore long term commitment is also necessary.

Your role as a Teaching and Behaviour Support Assistant will be:

· Working on a 121 basis with your allocated child, attending classes and liaising with his parents

· Supervise and support community-based learning and educational visits


You will be:
well organised, have good planning skills, have experience of working with children and young people with challenging behaviours, a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Above all, you will also need the physical and emotional resilience.

Hold a Team Teach certificate

Have previous experience in a school or alternatively working with youths in any capacity.
