Are you a talented Design and Technology teacher looking for a new role from September?
Would you like to work in a well respected school with state of the art Technology facilities?

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for an engaging Technology Teacher to join a successful DT department from September. You will be expected to teach creative lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, the school can consider specialists in all disciplines yet Resistant Materials and/or Product Design may have an advantage. If you are able to offer an Art or Graphic element this too would be beneficial but not essential.

The Technology department is well resourced to develop students' knowledge and understanding of traditional skills as well as those in Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Machines (CAD/CAM). The department is equipped with a Laser Cutter and 3D printer and has access to its own IT suite. The department also offers Food and Hospitality with a contemporary Catering facility alongside a Construction suite offering students modules in Plumbing, Carpentry, Tiling and Painting and Decorating.

This very welcoming school offers a highly supportive working environment with regular staff development and CPD. The school are committed to continuing their success and great exam results. The aim is to provide an inclusive environment with every pupil leaving the school achieving their best. Pupils are hard-working, well-behaved and have a strong desire to learn.

The school is currently graded as 'Good' with 'Outstanding' behaviour. The position will be for the full academic year at least with the option to be permanent, fixed term or ongoing supply. The successful Technology Teacher will be:
A DT Teacher who has a genuine passion for their subject and can inspire their pupils.
A creative Technology teacher, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout their role.
Someone who is up to date on the DT Curriculum and can confidently teach up to KS4.
Able to make effective assessments to plan for the next step in the pupils' development.
A reliable professional and an excellent communicator who can build relationships with all pupils.

Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualifications.

Have the legal right to work in the UK.
